Post-Repair Inspection

Not sure your vehicle was repaired correctly at a different repair facility?

A post-repair inspection can help give you peace of mind.

After a collision repair, everything may look fine — but not all issues are visible on the surface. A post-repair inspection is designed to evaluate the quality, safety, and completeness of a previous repair.

At Mint Collision, we offer post-repair inspections to help drivers understand the condition of their vehicle and identify potential concerns before they become bigger problems.

What Is a Post-Repair Inspection?

A post-repair inspection is a thorough review of a vehicle that has already been repaired by another shop.

It focuses on:

  • Repair quality and workmanship

  • Proper installation of parts

  • Visible structural or safety-related concerns

  • Signs of incomplete or improper repairs

This inspection does not assume anything was done wrong — it simply verifies that repairs were completed correctly and safely.

When Should You Consider a Post-Repair Inspection?

You may want a post-repair inspection if:

  • Something doesn’t feel right when driving your vehicle

  • You notice unusual noises, vibrations, or warning lights

  • Panel gaps, alignment, or fitment look off

  • You recently picked up your car and want a second look

  • Your vehicle was repaired quickly with limited explanation

  • You purchased a vehicle with a previous collision history

Many customers come in simply looking for reassurance — and that’s perfectly okay

What We Look For

Every inspection is different, but depending on the situation, we may review:

  • Visible repair workmanship

  • Proper panel alignment and fitment

  • Signs of overlooked damage

  • Evidence of shortcuts or incomplete repairs

  • Obvious safety-related concerns

If we find something worth addressing, we’ll explain it clearly — in plain language — so you understand what it means and what your options are.

What Happens If an Issue Is Found?

 If we identify a concern:

  • We’ll explain what we see and why it matters

  • We’ll answer your questions honestly

  • We can help guide you on next steps, if needed

In some cases, repairs may need to be corrected by the original repair facility. In others, no action may be necessary at all.

Our goal is information and clarity, not pressure.

Will You Work with My Insurance Company?

If insurance involvement is required, we can help explain the process and what options may be available. However, a post-repair inspection is about your safety and understanding, not insurance decisions.

You always have the right to choose how to proceed.

Why Mint Collision?

We offer post-repair inspections because we believe:

  • Repairs should be done correctly, not just quickly

  • Customers deserve clear answers

  • Safety should never be assumed

Our experience across both independent and high-volume collision facilities allows us to recognize common issues — and explain them in a way that makes sense.

No Pressure. Just Honest Answers.

If you’re unsure about a previous repair, we’re happy to take a look and talk things through with you.

Sometimes the best outcome is peace of mind.
