This video documents hidden damage found during a post-repair inspection on a vehicle previously repaired at another shop.
The customer initially visited Mint Collision for unrelated front-end repairs. During the estimate, we noticed irregular panel gaps in the rear of the vehicle and asked about prior repair history. She explained the car had been repaired after an accident but was never satisfied with the fitment and had been told the issues were “normal” due to aftermarket parts approved by insurance.
As a precaution, we offered a complimentary post-repair inspection on the rear of the vehicle. During that inspection, we discovered underlying damage that had not been properly addressed during the prior repair, including improperly repaired structural areas and hidden components.
Damage like this may not be visible but can affect how a vehicle performs in a future collision.
